Since last Monday, I teach once again our rich musical heritage to young singers at the beginning of their career at the International Academy of French Music by the sides of Sophie Koch, José van Dam and of course my father.
This year’s students have a very good level and I am happy to be able to accompany and guide them.
Emmanuel Plasson has established himself as a leading ambassador for French music through his remarkable international career spanning both the symphonic and operatic worlds.
Mr. Plasson made his North American debut in 1997 conducting the Royal Ballet, Covent Garden on tour, including performances at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York. This resulted in an immediate invitation to be an Assistant Conductor at the Metropolitan Opera during the two following seasons (for productions of Manon and Carmen).
"With the fine French conductor Emmanuel Plasson in charge, the orchestra gives a stylish and confident account of Offenbach’s breezy and tuneful score."
~The New York Times
"Maestro Plasson was excellent; sensuous and passionate in his approach, he explored the many nuances of the work producing rich texture and colour from the orchestra."
~Courier Mail, Brisbane, Australia
"Emmanuel Plasson’s conducting was crisp, assured and subtle. The orchestra seemed to enjoy every moment of their work, and the audience was able to relax in the knowledge that the underpinning was secure and beautiful."
